Why partner with PIEP?

This is your great time to maximize your brand leadership within your targeted market and audiences!

The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) is the only Accredited Professional Organization of Environmental Planners (APO-EP) registered with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). PIEP as a non-profit organization is mandated to promote and ensure the professional development of planners in the Philippines and pursue relevant policies and advocacies on sustainable development.

This in-person event is simultaneous with the observance of the Philippine Environmental Planning Day through the issuance of Proclamation No. 847, s. of 2019 signed on November 15, 2019 declaring ‘NOVEMBER 8 OF EVERY YEAR AS THE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING DAY OF THE PHILIPPINES’. This also coincides with the 74th World Town Planning Day celebrated in 30 countries on 4 continents every 8th of November to recognize and promote the role of planning in creating livable communities.

Who will attend and how our NATCON builds up PIEP’s audience reach?

The annual convention (NATCON) provides a valuable opportunity for your office, company, or organization to establish connections with a large network of over 6,000 licensed environmental planners. These professionals hold positions in government agencies, reputable private companies, and organizations throughout the Philippines and even overseas.

Environmental planners, as a diverse group, often have additional qualifications and backgrounds in fields such as engineering, architecture, urban planning, consulting, real estate, development, economics, law, academia, and planning administration. Their expertise spans various sectors and disciplines related to environmental planning and sustainable development.

By participating in NATCON, you can engage with this wide range of professionals, creating opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and knowledge sharing. Building connections with licensed environmental planners can be beneficial for your office, company, or organization in several ways:

  1. Expertise and advice: Environmental planners possess specialized knowledge in areas such as environmental impact assessment, land use planning, sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance. By connecting with them, you can access their expertise and seek advice on environmental planning projects, policies, and initiatives.

  2. Project partnerships: Collaborating with environmental planners can lead to partnerships in undertaking projects related to environmental planning, infrastructure development, sustainable design, and more. Their multidisciplinary backgrounds make them valuable assets in addressing complex challenges and implementing sustainable solutions.

  3. Access to networks: The licensed environmental planners attending NATCON represent a diverse and influential network. By connecting with them, you gain access to their extensive professional networks, which can open doors to new opportunities, resources, and partnerships.

  4. Policy and regulatory insights: Environmental planners are well-versed in the regulatory frameworks and policies related to environmental planning and sustainable development. Engaging with them can provide valuable insights into the latest regulations, trends, and best practices in the field.

  5. Market exposure: If your office, company, or organization operates in the environmental planning, sustainability, or related sectors, connecting with licensed environmental planners can increase your visibility and exposure to potential clients, customers, or collaborators.

  • Overall, participating in NATCON and connecting with licensed environmental planners offers numerous advantages, including access to expertise, project partnerships, networks, policy insights, and market exposure. It is an opportunity to engage with professionals who play a crucial role in shaping sustainable development practices in the Philippines and beyond.

What to expect?

The 5-day NATCON promises to be an impactful and engaging event, offering a variety of activities and opportunities for delegates to connect, learn, and have fun. Here is a breakdown of the schedule:

  1. Day 1: The event kicks off with teambuilding activities, sports fest, and business meetings. These activities provide an opportunity for delegates to network, build relationships, and engage in friendly competition.

  2. Day 2: The opening ceremonies mark the official start of NATCON, followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the NATCON EXPO. The EXPO provides a platform for organizations and companies to showcase their products, services, and initiatives related to environmental planning and sustainable development. A keynote address by a prominent speaker sets the tone for the event, inspiring and motivating the delegates.

  3. Day 2 to Day 4: These days are filled with plenary sessions and technical sessions. The plenary sessions bring together all delegates for presentations and discussions on broad topics of interest, providing a comprehensive overview of the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of environmental planning. The technical sessions, on the other hand, delve into specific areas of expertise, allowing delegates to choose sessions that align with their interests and professional development needs. Innovative and wide-ranging conference techniques are employed to make these sessions interactive, engaging, and informative.

  4. Cultural Night and Gala: These social events add an element of entertainment and cultural immersion to the NATCON experience. The cultural night showcases the rich cultural heritage of the host province or city through performances, music, dances, and traditional cuisine. The Gala, a formal event, provides an opportunity for delegates to relax, socialize, and celebrate their achievements during the conference.

  5. Day 5: The final day of NATCON focuses on technical tours. Delegates have the chance to visit notable sites, projects, or areas of environmental significance in the host province. These tours offer practical insights, on-site learning, and exposure to real-world examples of environmental planning and sustainable development in action.

By incorporating a mix of educational, networking, cultural, and recreational activities, the 5-day NATCON aims to provide a well-rounded and enriching experience for the delegates. It combines formal sessions with opportunities for relaxation, teambuilding, and exploration, fostering both professional and personal growth among the participants.

The Sponsors and Exhibitors Forum, scheduled 1-2 months before the NATCON, is a significant event attended by company representatives responsible for facilitating the Ingress/Egress process. This forum provides valuable opportunities for participants, and here are the key aspects:

  1. Event Overview: The forum offers a comprehensive overview of the NATCON, including its schedule, activities, and objectives. Participants gain a clear understanding of the event's scope and purpose, enabling them to align their preparations and maximize their engagement.

  2. Understanding PIEP: The forum aims to deepen participants' understanding of PIEP (Professional Environmental Planners of the Philippines). Through presentations and discussions, participants learn about PIEP's mission, achievements, and contributions to the field of environmental planning. This knowledge enhances their appreciation of the organization and its role in the industry.

  3. Networking Opportunities: The forum provides an ideal platform for sponsors and exhibitors to network with one another. By interacting and building relationships, participants can establish lasting connections and potentially forge new partnerships. These networking opportunities extend beyond the forum, offering avenues for collaboration even after the NATCON concludes.

  4. Sponsors and Exhibitors Prospectus: A crucial aspect of the forum is the distribution and discussion of the Sponsors and Exhibitors Prospectus. This document outlines the available sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for the NATCON EXPO. By reviewing the prospectus together, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the benefits, packages, and requirements associated with their involvement. This ensures a seamless execution of the NATCON EXPO and offers sponsors the chance to elevate their businesses.

By hosting the Sponsors and Exhibitors Forum, participants can familiarize themselves with the event, gain insights into PIEP, engage in networking activities, and explore the potential for partnerships. The distribution and discussion of the Sponsors and Exhibitors Prospectus further contribute to a successful and fruitful NATCON EXPO, empowering sponsors to enhance their business prospects and visibility.
