PIEP Camarines Chapter Inducts New Officers and Renews Commitment to Environmental Planning
The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners – Camarines Chapter recently held its Induction Ceremonies for the new set of officers for the term 2023-2024 and conducted the Renewal of Commitment of Members. The event took place on January 14, 2023, at Summit Hotel in Naga City.
Under the theme “Upscaling PIEP towards Green Growth and Livable Communities for Present and Future Generations,” the Induction Ceremonies were graced by PIEP National President, EnP Maria Ana Pulido, who delivered the Keynote Address. President Pulido also served as the Inducting Officer, presenting Certificates of Membership to the Chapter members in recognition of their commitment to environmental planning.
The ceremony marked a significant transition as the outgoing Chapter President, EnP Elena Austria, handed over the chapter banner to the newly-inducted Chapter President, Dr. Mary Ruth Parro, EnP. In her valedictory address, EnP Austria reflected on her tenure and expressed her confidence in the incoming leadership.
The highlight of the event was the charging and acceptance of commitment from the new Board of Directors, emphasizing their responsibility in advancing the principles of environmental planning. The Renewal of Pledge of Loyalty among the members further reinforced their dedication to upholding the goals and values of the organization.
The Induction Ceremonies were attended by National Board of Trustee, EnP Adolfo Encila, Jr., who witnessed the formal proceedings and showed his support for the Camarines Chapter’s initiatives.
The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners – Camarines Chapter continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting sustainable and livable communities in the region. With a new leadership team in place, they are poised to make a significant impact in advancing environmental planning practices and contributing to the well-being of present and future generations.
